The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazareth is located in Sítio da Nazaré, a neighbourhood of Vila da Nazaré, Portugal. The history of this image is told in the Legend of Nazareth.
The São Miguel Archangel Fort is located on the beach of Nazaré, also referred to as Nazaré Hill Fort or simply Nazaré Fort. Today it is known as a dominant position on the beach of Nazaré, traditionally known as a fishing spot on the Portuguese coast. Open to the public since 2014, it has one of the most enigmatic views of the village of Nazaré and is one of the favorite places for giant wave enthusiasts such as Garrett Mc Namara.
